The end of summer means several things to me:
1. Football is almost here.
2. It will thankfully cool down soon.
3. Divorce season starts up in earnest.
However strange it may seem to some people, divorces are often planned out around other aspects of one’s life such as children returning to school, graduation, selling one’s business, retirement, etc. Of course, some types of divorces come year round, particularly those instigated by by one spouse’s decision to have a girlfriend or boyfriend in addition to their spouse. But the end of summer and January are times when people sit down and evaluate whether ’till death do us part’ still sounds good.
